Chuckie Pies Information

Tucked into the charming streets of Lake Oswego, Chuckie Pies at 370 1st St feels like the kind of place you stumble upon once and then keep coming back to. The location is easy to find, right in a walkable part of town, and it fits perfectly into the relaxed, small-town vibe of the area. From the outside, it has that inviting neighborhood diner energy, and stepping inside only reinforces it with a warm, casual atmosphere that doesn’t try too hard.

The menu leans heavily into comfort food, but with enough variety to keep things interesting. Their pies, of course, are the main draw, and they don’t disappoint. The crust has that ideal balance-flaky without falling apart-and the fillings feel thoughtfully made rather than rushed. Whether you go for a classic savory option or something a little more creative, there’s a clear attention to detail in both flavor and texture. It’s the kind of food that feels homemade in the best possible way.

Service is another strong point here. During a recent visit, the staff struck that perfect balance between friendly and efficient. Orders came out in a reasonable time, and there was a genuine sense that they cared about the experience, not just turning tables. It’s the kind of place where you might get a recommendation based on what’s fresh that day, and it actually turns out to be worth trying.

The atmosphere leans cozy rather than trendy, which works in its favor. It’s a spot where you can sit down for a relaxed meal without feeling rushed, whether you’re grabbing lunch with friends or stopping in for a casual dinner. The dining space isn’t overly large, but that just adds to the intimate, local feel that many diners appreciate.

Looking at reviews across platforms, there’s a consistent theme of people appreciating both the quality of the food and the welcoming environment. While it may not have the flashiness of bigger restaurant chains, it delivers where it counts: solid menu options, dependable service, and a setting that feels authentic. It’s clear that the focus here is on doing simple things well, which often makes for the most memorable dining experiences.

What People's Say About Place

We went a bit later on a weekend evening. The atmosphere was vibrant and welcoming. Greeted by very friendly staff and didnt have to wait long at all for a seat. Had a salad then pizza - both were excellent! But what I remember most was the owner came over at one point and made sure everything was satisfactory. She's fantastic at what she does and it shows throughout the whole dining experience. The other thing was the bartender! She obviously knows what shes doing and made the best two old fashioneds I've EVER had. This place is 5/5 all around and I can't wait to go back!

UPDATED: The manager contacted me today to apologize and issue a full refund, which I didn't even ask for. It was some great service that more than offset my negative experience. I'll now give them another shot. Good pizza, great salad, HORRIBLE delivery experience. I wonder what this pizza is like hot or even warm. Because my pizza delivered 20 minutes late was ice cold. Not even room temperature. Cold. Like it had been in a refrigerator. I paid $8 and a generous tip for that delivery. Worse, when I called to request an $8 refund for the delivery fee, the worker said it wasn't their fault; it was DoorDash's fault. Nonsense. It's your business, you choose to work with your vendors/subcontractors. BTW, I I was originally and erroneously notified my order had been delivered about 45 minutes before it actually was. Then I got another notification 5 minute later that it had just gone out for delivery. Very confusing.

ChuckiePies is Amazing! This is my favorite restaurant. ChuckiePies is my first choice when dining out with friends and family. I strongly recommend their delicious oven backed Gluten Free Pizzas. The Stromboli GF Pizza with the House Chopped Salad is a gastronomic treat. Highest accolades to all waitpersons and staff who make dining here so Fun and Delicious, time and time again.

Some places don’t just serve food — they serve an experience, and this firewood pizza spot is exactly that. From the moment the smell of wood-fired dough hits you, you know you’re about to eat something special. The crust? Perfectly charred, airy, and chewy in all the right ways. The toppings tasted fresh, intentional, and bold — every bite felt crafted, not rushed. You can feel the passion in the oven, in the recipes, in the atmosphere. But what truly elevated the night was Ellie. Ellie didn’t just serve our table — she took care of us. Warm, genuine, attentive without hovering, and full of positive energy. She knew the menu, gave thoughtful recommendations, checked in at the perfect moments, and somehow made the whole experience feel personal, like we were regulars on our favorite night out. That kind of service is rare, and it matters. Food this good brings you in. Service like Ellie’s brings you back. If you’re looking for unreal firewood pizza, a cozy yet vibrant vibe, and hospitality that actually feels human — don’t hesitate. Ask for Ellie, trust the oven, and enjoy every bite. This place is special.

The Most friendliest group and helpful. They took great care of us and were on top of things . I will definitely go again . I ordered a pizza and shared it and they brought it to us already cut up and split without even asking.

I didn’t want to give a review to keep this A hidden Gem but it’s just to Good not to spread the word. Since they have opened we order a minimum of once a month and dine in When we have an occasion or family in town. The Deep Dish pizza would be my final meal, Yeah It’s that Good. It’s a smaller place, make reservations if you can.

Pizza is legit! I am a New Yorker and pizza snob and loved every bite. crust is crisp and not soggy and ingredients are high quality and super fresh! Staff is incredible. Can’t wait to come back!

Hands down our new favorite pizza anywhere. Woodfired with just the right amount of char. The sauce is so tasty. The crust is wonderfully chewy. A little more upscale than just a pizza place. However, I would consider this a gourmet Italian restaurant with a great bar.
